Monstera Obliqua is also known as Swiss cheese vine because of the naturally occurring holes in the leaves. Fast growing and preferring to climb, it will make a great addition to your dart frog’s home. This plant makes a perfect backdrop creating a natural environment for your dart frogs to hide in and climb on. It is also great as a hanging basket plant.
Origin: Brazil
Height: Leaf shoots are 6 to 10 inches in height with a spread that can trail to 30 ft. Very easy to maintain and cut back. It is similar to pothos in its growing style.
Light: Bright light to partial shade. Will tolerate low light, but not direct sun. Does extremely well in vivarium and terrarium lighting.
Planting: The branches are lightweight. As the plant grows, the branches will continue to climb toward the light as well as cascade down the sides of your vivarium.
Water: Keep slightly moist at all times in a well draining soil.
Humidity: High humidity 70 to 80%.
Temperature: Will tolerate cool to warm temperatures from 55-85°F.
Propagation: Take stem cuttings.
